A Mechanical Engineer by training, Michael started his career in Ireland with Proctor & Gamble, manufacturing their skin care and cosmetics brands. P&G moved him to Iowa, U.S.A. in 2003, where he met his wife, Allyson (also a P&G engineer) and had their two children, Keelin & Michael. He subsequently  had a supply chain role, based in Cincinnati, where he worked exclusively with contract manufacturers for a prestige haircare brand. His experiences in that role shaped much of his approach leading CDMO’s later in his career. He then became the youngest plant manager in P&G at the time, running a Gillette acquired plant near Boston. There he helped forge a resilient culture while delivering breakthrough results. Next he had the opportunity to run a $2B beauty care facility, where the focus was on becoming ‘Champions of Change’ to enable world-class productivity and agility in the market place.

Michael was attracted the entrepreneurialism of the Private Equity CDMO space in 2017, where he led and rebranded Elevation Labs through acquisition and organic growth. Over the course of 5 years, with a strong focus on delivering 'Phenomenal Customer Experiences', EBITDA tripled, resulting in a very successful exit. He then moved with his family back to Ireland, to lead Health & Beauty Innovations (HBI), owned by the FTSE 100 company, DCC. After two years of focus on building a ‘Demand Creation Machine’ and leveraging the scale of 8 businesses across Europe and the U.S., he supported the successful sale and integration of the business into Private Equity.
